Kite
LiveA feature-rich Farcaster client

Problem
Farcaster users needed more control over how they read and participate in the network: a chronological feed, filters for the clients publishing casts, and a way to connect through their own node.
Approach
Built Kite as a responsive React and TypeScript client backed by a Node.js gateway to Snapchain. A PostgreSQL feed worker indexes activity for chronological Following feeds and notifications, while client filters let users include or exclude posts by their publishing app. Profiles, conversations, search, and a rich cast composer bring reading and posting into one interface. Account connection supports delegated signer approval and local signing tools, with encrypted key storage. Docker Compose bundles the web server, indexing worker, and database, and an accompanying field guide walks operators through running their own Snapchain read node.
Outcome
Created an MIT-licensed Farcaster client with chronological feeds, client filters, rich profiles, notifications, and account tools. The open source repository includes self-hosting instructions and a node setup guide so users can run the client against infrastructure they control.
