Cast to Farcaster without revealing your identity.

Problem

Every Farcaster cast is permanently tied to your FID and handle — there was no native way to post on the protocol while staying anonymous. Users wanted to share leaks, vent, or float controversial takes without it sitting on their main profile forever.

Approach

Built AnonPost as a Farcaster Mini App and standalone web app that publishes from a single shared identity, @anonpost.eth. The backend securely manages the Farcaster account credentials and publishes posts directly to the network, where each submission appears as a real cast from the shared handle. A token gate helps prevent abuse: text posts are free, while URLs and images require the connected wallet to hold a sufficient $AnonPost balance on Base. The app supports @mentions, and a 60-second cooldown plus a two-attachment limit help protect the shared account from misuse.

Outcome

Live at anonpost.xyz and on Farcaster as a Mini App, AnonPost enables users to create casts, replies, quotes, image posts, and @mentions through the @anonpost.eth handle. Every submission is published directly to the Farcaster network and appears natively in clients and feeds while preserving the shared-account experience.
